Paoay Lake
The next position on the list of the most beautiful lakes in the Philippines is Paoay Lake. It is a lake located in the Paoay municipality on the Philippine island of Luzon's northwest coast. It is the biggest natural lake in the region and the biggest lake in the province of Ilocos Norte. A national park that borders Laoag City and is home to a 386-hectare freshwater lake is situated around 3 kilometers from the ocean.
One of the most popular tourist destinations in Luzon, it is bordered by other well-known buildings including the Malacanang ti Amianan, a historic home museum constructed by the late President Ferdinand Marcos. The Plaza del Norte Hotel and Convention Center, a 100-room, 3-star hotel, a 77-hectare 5-star resort, and an 18-hole golf course are some of the many attractions that surround the lake.
Phytoplankton, macrophytes, and zooplankton occupy the lake, including 11 species of rotifers, 8 species of cladocerans, and 8 species of copepods. Tilapia, catfish, and mudfish are among the fish identified. The lake is also home to some aquatic plants, including water hyacinth, tape grass, and Buntót-pusà.
