Bartlesville
Bartlesville, which straddles the Caney River's banks, is located not far from the Kansas border, about 45 miles (70 kilometers) to the north of Tulsa. Since the discovery of oil in 1905, the Phillips Petroleum Company, which still has sizable offices in the city and employs numerous people, has controlled much of life in the city.
The wealthy corporation has contributed to the construction of a number of top-notch museums and beautiful buildings throughout the city over the years. The Woolaroc Museum and Wildlife Preserve, which houses a large collection of artwork and animals like bison, elk, and zebra, is unquestionably the most impressive of these.
Bartlesville is also notable for housing the sole skyscraper created by Frank Lloyd Wright. Price Tower, which rises 220 feet (67 meters) above the ground, stands out from the neighborhood and frequently hosts exhibitions. The city also has some notable cultural events and festivals throughout the year, with its classic automobile exhibition proving to be highly popular, in addition to art, architecture, and wildlife.
