Oklahoma City
As one of the Best Places to Visit in Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, the state's capital and most populated city, is also its economic and cultural hub. It is located practically exactly in the middle of the state. One of the largest urban regions in the Great Plains, OKC (as it is frequently called), is situated on both sides of the banks of the Oklahoma River and offers a variety of attractions for tourists.
While there are numerous attractions in the downtown area, including the magnificent Museum of Art and the moving Oklahoma City National Memorial, it is worthwhile to travel outside of the city. The Paseo, a historic artists' community, is home to many exquisite art galleries, Art Deco structures and boutiques, and "Little Saigon" is awash in top-notch Asian restaurants and stores.
Along with its countless historical, cultural, and architectural treasures, OKC also has the kid-friendly Frontier City, where thrilling rides and attractions transport you to the Wild West of yore. The city also has several riverside parks and footpaths, with the magnificent seven-story Myriad Botanical Gardens being just one of its many noteworthy attractions.
