Brussels Food Truck Festival
On May 5, 6, and 7, Brussels will host the world's largest food truck festival. Around 150,000 people are anticipated to visit the Tour et Taxis park, which will have 103 food trucks from all around Europe.
The Brussels Food Truck Festival is another most famous festival in Belgium. The organizers got almost 1,200 applications from food truck entrepreneurs interested in participating. The European Food Trucks Award will be presented on Sunday afternoon. This is the first time in Europe that a Food Truck has received such an honor. The Belgian Food Vehicle Association awards the greatest food trucks in Europe with this prize for the quality of their work, the inventiveness of their cuisine and truck, and embodying the principles of the Food Truck Spirit. Professionals, chefs, journalists, and bloggers make up the jury.
The event began in 2014 and has grown to become Europe's largest food truck festival, with 37 participants from the Benelux and France. It was named Best Gastronomy. The number of trucks participating quadrupled in 2015. Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, and Germany were represented. The 2016 edition included 142 food trucks from 12 different nations, and the event earned the Best Gastronomy Award once again.
Visitors to the Brussels Food Truck Festival may sample cuisines from Morocco, Armenia, Lebanon, Belgium, Britain, Ireland, Alsace, Italy, Creole, African, Thailand, Vietnam, Venezuela, Cuba, and Mexico, among others. Cocktails and artisanal beers will be available, as well as gourmet burgers and hot dogs, mussels, oysters, snails, smoked and roast meat, raw meat, fish, shellfish, lobster, crocodile, swordfish, salty and sweet croquettes, banh mi, grilled cheese, vegan and vegetarian food, ice creams, and yogurts.
