Zythos Beer Festival
The Zythos Beer Festival in Leuven is the world's largest festival dedicated solely to Belgian barley beer and it is the most famous festival in Belgium. The Zythos Beer Festival takes place every year in Leuven, the capital of the province of Flemish Brabant, around 25 kilometers from Brussels. Given how well-known Belgian beer is throughout Europe, this is an excellent opportunity to sample new flavors in the heart of Europe. You may expect a few hundred kiosks with various beers and brewers where you can exchange your token for a sample of one of the numerous Belgian beers presented in a 15 ml glass. You may take the glass home with you after visiting the Zythos Beer Festival as a memento of this enjoyable event.
In only one weekend, the festival features over 600 different varieties of beer from 100 different breweries, all housed within the spectacular Brabanthal event hall. Visitors can sample one of the various Belgian beers available at the kiosks in exchange for one or two tokens; however, they must purchase a beginning package. On the Oude Markt, Leuven is also home to Stella Artois beer and the world's longest bar. As a result, make sure you grab a seat and a pint while you're there. Many restaurants in the city provide unique meals made with Belgian beer during the event. For those who enjoy a fine brew, they also offer a variety of beer walks and classes.
For any lover of Belgium beer, this is an event that one should attempt to attend at least once in their lifetime.
