Celebration Of Light
The Honda Celebration of Light (previously Benson & Hedges Symphony of Fire and The HSBC Celebration of Light) is a musical firework competition held annually in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. From July 25 to August 5, 1990, the first "Symphony of Fire" took place. The event is one of Vancouver's largest and most well-known, and it is known as the world's longest-running offshore fireworks competition. The fireworks will excite your heart with their grandiosity and hues, and the entire event is usually centered around a specific theme. An estimated 1.4 million people attend the multi-day event each year.
Crowds throng the waterfront, particularly around English Bay and Burrard Inlet, where picnic blankets and folding chairs are spread out on the beach to enjoy the show. Bring a picnic and stay the night! Each evening, the Celebration of Light opens off with a music festival down at Sunset Beach, in addition to the fireworks. SHOREFEST is the largest free community concert series in Vancouver. Early in the afternoon, bands take to the stage to get the fans ready for the stunning main event.
