Chuang Tha Beach

Chuang Tha, located in the Ayeyarwady Region, is one of Myanmar's top beaches to visit. Because it is one of the closest beaches to Yangon, it is an excellent addition to your Myanmar itinerary if you are short on time.

Chuang Tha may not be as developed as Ngapali, but it is the most easily accessible and busiest of Myanmar's beaches.

Chuang Tha is quite famous among local middle-class families that picnic here on weekends and holidays, making it extremely crowded during these times. If you avoid commercialized sites, you might not like Chuang Tha, but on the bright side, you get to observe the Burmese way of vacationing here.

Don't forget to taste the delectable seafood dishes available at many of the greatest restaurants. They are fantastic, but what distinguishes this beach is that it is a foodie's paradise. At reasonable costs, you can sample a wide variety of marine delights.

You may take short boat trips to surround islands for kayaking and snorkeling, which is also an ideal option to avoid crowds if you visit during peak season or holidays. When you get to the beach, you can book these trips directly.

How to get there: The best way to get from Yangon to Chuang Tha beach is by bus, which takes about 6 hours.
