Po Po Kyauk Beach (Grandfather Beach)

Po Po Kyauk Beach is also known as the Grandfather beach and is one of Myanmar's lesser-known beaches. It is long enough for you to cycle around or take a stroll. This beach is an excellent site to see the sunrise and sunset, thus many photographers can be seen strolling around with their heavy DSLRs. There are fantastic budget accommodations near the beach in Dawei for your stay that provide complete comfort and excellent services!

Po Po Kyauk Beach is ostensibly the most beautiful beach on the Dawei Peninsula, and there is no doubt that it is. However, some travelers felt that the views were marred by big numbers of noisy day-trippers and stalls leading to the shore. While the beach environment was not perfect, some enjoyed roaming around Nyau Pyin fishing village far more than the beach itself!

How to get there: Take a boat from Dawei port town or Maungmagan beach.
