Kanthaya Beach
Despite its proximity to Ngapali Beach, Kanthaya is another beach in Myanmar that is shockingly undiscovered. It is a 4.5-kilometer-long golden-sand beach with pristine waters.
If you're looking for unusual beach places, Kanthaya is one of the best beaches in Myanmar to visit. The fact that it is completely undeveloped for tourists is what makes it so appealing, as you will explore the rough coastline lined with fishing communities.
You will be able to observe village life and their sources of subsistence, such as fishing and handicrafts, as well as tourism, which is booming.
Villagers transform into local guides to assist you in exploring the beach. You can snorkel and swim on adjacent deserted islands by renting a kayak or taking a boat tour. You can visit their homes and even sample home-cooked seafood delights if you choose.
How to get there: You can fly from Yangon to Ngapali and then take a tuk-tuk or cab to Kanthaya. It takes between 3.5 and 4 hours to get there.
