Crystal Beach

Crystal Beach, on the Bolivar Peninsula, is a beautiful and tranquil beach worth the 90-minute drive from Houston. This is a great choice if you have the time or if you want to spend a few days in an RV or camping on the beach.

The beach at Crystal Beach is beautiful. It's a wonderful get-away from the city because of the white sand and deep blue Gulf waters, as well as the ability to drive and camp right on the beach. Families and friends spend the day building sand castles, looking for shells and shark teeth, surfing, boogie boarding, and other activities. Setting up a barbecue or simply lying in the sun. The beach is pet-friendly, and the view is breathtaking for sand walks, particularly around sunset. You could even see pods of dolphins accompanying the ferry to the peninsula throughout the trip.
