Stewart Beach

Stewart Beach is Galveston’s premier family-friendly beach park, named as one of the “10 Best Beaches for Families” by the Family Vacation Critic. This is a great family beach in Houston because it has restaurants, showers, bathrooms, chair and umbrella rentals, and lifeguards on duty (during the March through October season). You'll be near to local restaurants and activities since Stewart Beach just steps away from the seawall walkway.

There is a children's playground near the beach, and there are often events going place near the sea, such as famous summer sandcastle competitions. Throughout the year, Stewart Beach hosts a variety of public events. Sports competitions, beach yoga, drive-in movies, sandcastle building lessons, and the exciting Galveston Family Beach Challenge are just a few of the activities available. There is a parking fee at Stewart Beach.
