Surfside Beach

Surfside Beach is a great beach located about an hour from Houston and accessible from both the south and west sides of the city. This beach is one of the most popular along the Bluewater Highway, but it is not as crowded as some of the other beaches in the Houston area.

Surfside Beach is ideal for ocean swimming and beach activities such as bonfires, shell collecting, and horseback riding. There are various public access points to Surfside Beach. Around the beach, vacation homes and RV parks are common, making this a great weekend getaway option from the city. Surfside Beach is also accessible from the Surfside Jetty County Park, which offers amenities such as bathrooms and a children's playground.
