Seawall Beach
The expansive Seawall is the longest continuous walkway in the United States, stretching over 10 miles and rising 17 feet above sea level. The Seawall is famous for strolling or biking along with it, but it also has several beaches, interesting shops, restaurants, and exciting activities to keep everyone entertained.
Galveston's Historic Seawall Beach, which can be accessed in under an hour from Houston, is one of the most popular beach locations. This is the gathering place of Galveston, as well as one of the most fascinating beaches to visit. There are plenty of areas to relax and enjoy the sun or swim in the sea on the wide sandy beach. Umbrellas, cabanas, and beach chairs may all be rented. Many restaurants are just across the street and within walking distance. When you're not swimming, take a stroll along the 10-mile-long seawall that runs alongside the beach. Picnic tables, pavilions, statues, historical markers, and other sites of interest may be found along the promenade in Galveston's downtown area.
