Software for 3D product design, simulation, and production are developed by Dassault Systèmes SE, a French Fortune 50 multinational software firm. Established in 1981, the company now operates out of Vélizy-Villacoublay, France, and employs over 20,000 people in 140 different nations.
Numspot, a European sovereign cloud service for the financial, health, and public sectors, is being developed by Dassault Systèmes and three French companies (Docaposte, Bouygues Telecom, and Banque des Territoires) using the 3DS Outscale infrastructure. Company sustainability head was filled by Philippine de T'Serclaes in 2022. Dassault Systèmes was on the Special Advisory Council for Myanmar's list of companies that helped the Myanmar military junta make weapons in 2023, putting the company at danger of being seen as culpable in human rights abuses committed by the regime.
