Nacon

The Lesquin, France-based video game developer Nacon was once known as Bigben Interactive. It creates and sells gaming peripherals, as well as develops, publishes, and markets video games for many systems. Nacon was formed in 2020 with the merger of Bigben Group. The year 1981 marks the beginning of Bigben Interactive.

Nacon announced the acquisition of Big Ant Studios, an Australian video game developer, in January 2021. In an ongoing distribution dispute between the two companies, video game company Frogwares claimed on 1 March 2021 that Nacon had illegally hacked and distributed a pirated version of their game, The Sinking City, on Steam in February 2021. Nacon purchased Crea-ture Studios in August of 2021.

Nacon bought Ishtar Games in October of 2021.Nacon purchased Midgar Studio in February of 2022. Nacon stated in February 2022 that it would purchase Daedalic Entertainment for an estimated $60 million, with the acquisition closing in April 2022. In May 2022, Nacon announced the foundation of Nacon Studio Milan, which would include the studios it had acquired in October 2020 (namely, RaceWard Studio) and others that had not yet been given official names.
