The Paris, France-based video game studio and publisher Focus Entertainment was once known as Focus Home Interactive. Focus, which has been around since 1996, has created and marketed games like Cycling Manager and Virtual Skipper in the sports genre as well as games like Sherlock Holmes and TrackMania.

The Cities XL franchise, formerly owned by the defunct Monte Cristo, was acquired by Focus on June 25th, 2010.Focus' partnership with Farming Simulator's developer, Giants Software, dates back to 2012. Former CEO Cédric Lagarrigue departed the company in April 2018 after 20 years.

Deck13 was purchased by the corporation in June of 2020 for €7.1 million. Streum On Studio was also purchased by Focus in April of 2021. Dotemu was purchased by the corporation in August 2021 for a reported $38.5 million. Focus Home Interactive became Focus Entertainment on September 6, 2021. Douze Dixiemes was purchased by Focus in October 2021. Focus purchased Leikir Studio in February 2022 for an undisclosed amount. Focus purchased BlackMill Games on September 13, 2022. Focus purchased Dovetail Games in April of 2023.
