El Bulli (Permanently Closed)

El Bulli, which opened in 1964 and closed in 2011, had been in operation for almost six decades. By the end of 2014, it has been converted from an elite restaurant to a culinary research institute.

El Bulli received plaudits and praises from industry professionals and the media, making it one of the best places to eat in Spain. It was also awarded three Michelin stars for its outstanding food. Guests might also enjoy panoramic views of Cala Montjoi, a peaceful holiday area in Cataluna, Spain. It undoubtedly contributed to El Bulli's status as one of Spain's best restaurants for many years.

The Albondigas de Paella, which contained chicken and chorizo blended with rice perfumed with saffron, was a hit with large parties. The Albondigas with Tuco—traditional Spanish meatballs covered in tomato salsa—were very popular. The Mejillones en Salsa de Chili, which offers broth-cooked mussels, was a popular choice among seafood enthusiasts. The Gambas al Ajillo, which consists of prawns fried in oil, salt, and pepper, was a hit with those who wanted to avoid the spicy.
