Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen Lee DeGeneres is a comedian, television personality, actor, writer, and producer from the United States. Ellen began her career performing stand-up comedy in small venues and coffee shops. Her humor stood out among her colleagues since it was neither vulgar nor harsh. Winning a competition opened up a whole new world for her. It led to more opportunities, including her debut on 'The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.' In 1991, she was crowned 'Best Female Club Standup' by Comedy Awards, and in 1997 and 1998, she was named 'Entertainer of the Year' by Entertainment Weekly.
Later, she was cast in the ABC sitcom 'These Friends of Mine,' which was renamed 'Ellen' in 1994. Ellen obtained her own show, 'Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show,' in 2003, after some minor setbacks. This show earned 15 Emmy Awards in its first three seasons on the air, making it the first talk show in television history to win an Emmy Award for 'Outstanding Talk Show.' 'My Point... And I Do Have One and 'The Funny Thing Is...' are two of her books. After all her efforts, she is now considered one of the best female comedians of all time
