Extremis (2016)
Dr. Jessica Zitter, an ICU and palliative care expert who leads a team in the Highland Hospital ICU in Oakland, California, is the subject of Extremis, a 2016 American short documentary. She assists families in making end-of-life decisions for their terminally sick loved ones. Dan Krauss directed and produced the film. It was shot in a Highland Hospital acute care unit in Oakland, California. Dr. Shoshana R. Ungerleider, a physician and end-of-life advocate, helped to sponsor the video. Although the documentary features five patients, it only focuses on three of them.
