Patch Adams is a 1998 American biographical comedy-drama film starring Robin Williams, Monica Potter, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Bob Gunton, Daniel London, and Peter Coyote and directed by Tom Shadyac. Despite a $50-90 million budget, the picture grossed $202.3 million.
Hunter "Patch" Adams is a courageous man who is driven to become a medical doctor because he likes helping people. He used comedy and sorrow to go where no doctor had gone before.
