New Amsterdam (2018)
New Amsterdam is an American medical drama television series that aired on NBC on September 25, 2018. It is based on Eric Manheimer's book Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital. Ryan Eggold, Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, Anupam Kher, and Tyler Labine feature in David Schulner's series. The sitcom got renewed for a second season in February 2019, with the debut date set for September 24, 2019. The sitcom was renewed for three more seasons by NBC in January 2020. On March 2, 2021, the third season premiered. On September 21, 2021, the fourth season premiered.
New Amsterdam follows Dr. Max Goodwin as he takes over as medical director of one of the country's oldest public hospitals, with the goal of overhauling the facility's bureaucracy in order to deliver superior patient care.
