FEBO
Even among Europe's most gorgeous cities, Amsterdam is a little odd. That's a big difference. It's not strange, then, that they do fast food a little differently, courtesy to FEBO, a company founded in the Netherlands. FEBO is said to be ultra-fast because you're ordering, paying, and getting your already-ready food right from a giant wall.
Customers can buy hot dogs, burgers, bami, sausages, croquettes, fries, and other deep-fried delights from FEBO locations in a vending machine-style process. It all began in 1960 when J.I. de Borst combined the concepts of a snack bar with an automat to create this semi-questionable life choice automated wall. They're all over the Netherlands now, and they should be all over the United States as well. That's for two reasons: they're perfect for grabbing a quick bite to eat after leaving the pub, and they're an introvert's dream. Don't feel like striking up a conversation with the person behind the counter at any other fast food joint? Just go to FEBO, and you'll be fine.
