Frontier
Frontier is a Canadian historical drama television series developed by Rob and Peter Blackie that follows the North American fur trade in colonial Canada/Land Rupert's in the late 1700s or early 1800s. The series is co-produced by Discovery Canada and Netflix as the channel's first original scripted commission. The show debuted on November 6, 2016. Jason Momoa moved on to another tough drama called Frontier a few years after Khal Drogo died on Game of Thrones.
Frontier is set in the late 1800s in Canada and follows the North American fur trade and the Hudson's Bay Company's struggle to keep a corrupt, imposed monopoly on the sector. Momoa plays Declan Harp, an outlaw who is half-Irish and half-Cree — one of Canada's major First Nations — who opposes Hudson's Bay Company dominance. Harp is unafraid to go to any length, no matter how violent, to break the company's grip over Canada and the country's most important enterprise. Frontier is rough and exhilarating, and it's ideal for anyone who misses Drogo and his fiery personality.
