Gaping Gill

Ingleborough - Gaping Gill is a well-known natural cave in England and one of the top underground attractions in Britain, formed by the action of the torrent Fell Beck, which flows from the edge of the Yorkshire Dales' second tallest peak, Ingleborough. Gaping Gill is a site that may be reached by skilled potholers. It holds the distinction for being England's highest unbroken waterfall and the largest underground chamber that is naturally accessible to the surface.

The general public, who get a chance to tour the magnificent cave using a winch by Bradford Potholing Club in May and Craven Pothole Club in August, typically perceive a 360-foot descend as a journey through the center of the Earth.
