Goblin (2016)

Guardian: The Lonely and Great God is a South Korean television series starring Gong Yoo in the title role with Kim Go-eun, Lee Dong-wook, Yoo In-na, and Yook Sung-jae. It was shown on the cable network tvN from December 2, 2016, to January 21, 2017.

Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun) is a high school girl who has the ability to see the dead. She meets Kim Shin (Gong Yoo), a goblin, and the two discover that they are destined to be together. The only disadvantage is that once the goblin finds his wife, his everlasting life on Earth will come to an end. When the two genuinely fall in love, this becomes a difficult truth to swallow.

This was a significant step forward in Kim Go Eun's small-screen acting career. "Goblin" was written by Kim Eun Sook, a well-known drama writer, which is why Kim Go Eun acting in one of her K-dramas was a huge thing. It all but assured her triumph. The love tale between the goblin and his wife is deeply moving on many levels, and it just adds to Kim Go Eun's impressive resume of acting in films and dramas.
