Yumi's Cells (2021)

Yumi's Cells is a 2021 South Korean television series directed by Lee Sang-yeob and starring Kim Go-eun, Ahn Bo-hyun, Jinyoung, Lee Yu-bi and Park Ji-hyun. It is a cell-based psychological romance that explores Yumi's daily existence as an everyday office worker through the perspective of the cells in her mind and is based on the same-named webtoon.

The play narrates the tale of a typical office worker from the viewpoint of the brain cells that govern her thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Yumi, played by Kim Go-eun, is a typical woman. The trauma of a broken romance sends her love cell into a coma. The drama will show how she develops and changes as her cells struggle to activate the love cell. Game creator Goo Woong (Ahn Bo-hyun) is fundamentally an engineer. Despite his lack of emotional expression, he makes an effort to awaken Yumi's love cell through his straightforward and sincere demeanor.
