Monster (2014)
Monster is a 2014 South Korean action thriller film written and directed by Hwang In-ho, starring Lee Min-ki and Kim Go-eun. It recorded 357,000 admissions and ₩2.85 billion (US$2.66 million) for its first week.
Kim Go Eun plays the quick-tempered Bok Soon in "Monster". She owns a street kiosk and is just trying to make ends meet for herself and her younger sister. Many people in the area avoid her because of her insanity and potential to snap at anyone at any time. When Tae Soo (Lee Min-Ki) murders Bok Soon's little sister, she decides to take matters into her own hands and seeks out Tae Soo in order to kill him.
How could anyone forget Kim Go Eun in "Monster" as the hideous and nasty Bok Soon? She is so terrifyingly good in the film that it's hard to imagine Kim Go Eun was able to play this wild for the part. It's such a departure from her former role as Eungyo. It takes major acting talents to pull it off, but Kim Go Eun was able to pull it off. This part showcased her flexibility as an actor.
