Green Island
Green Island is the first name on our list of the most beautiful islands in Taiwan. Green Island, as known as Ludao Island, is a small volcanic island. It was once home to Taiwanese political prisoners, sent here by military law to serve their sentences in the mid 20th century. Now in place of the old prison is a museum and human rights memorial. The island, on the other hand, has gone a long way since then and currently is one of Taiwan's most popular tourist sites. It also becomes a stopover for tourists, especially drivers who come to enjoy some of Taiwan's best diving spots.
Green Island is well-known for having some of Taiwan's best-preserved corals and one of only three salt hot springs in the world so don’t forget to take a peaceful soak in the Chaojih Hot Springs when you're not diving. The style of life on this island is significantly more relaxing than on the mainland. Thanks to the spectacular scenery, Green Island is considered as one of the top 10 islands in Taiwan.
