Little Liuqiu or Lambai Island

Little Liuqiu or Lambai Island is the most unique island and one of Taiwan's most well-known. Despite its moderate size, the island has a resident population of about 13,000 inhabitants. Liuqiu Island, known for its distinctive boot form, is home to some of Taiwan's most beautiful coral reefs. In fact, coral surrounds the entire island. As a result, visitors from all over the globe flock to dive on this island.

Three features make this island special: the best location to watch the sunset, having most of the coral species, and the terrain made up of coral. There are many large temples here, each with its own distinctive features and special attractions. However, the Liuqiu Vase Rock is perhaps the island's most famous sight. It's exactly what it says on the tin: a floral vase-shaped rock. The waves and erosion have formed this one-of-a-kind look over many years.

The island's shoreline is home to a large number of sea turtles. Furthermore, there are several boat operators that will take you a bit further out to see the incredible corals that this island has to offer. No wonder it is listed as one of the most stunning islands in Taiwan.
