Grotte del Bue Marino
The Bue Marino Caves are located on Sardinia's west coast. They get their name from the monk seal, which is also known by the nickname "Bue Marino." Being between the sea and the mountains, this is the ideal location for everyone who enjoys nature. It can not be denied that Grotte del Bue Marino is one of the most beautiful caves in Italy.
It contains 15 kilometers of caves, however not all of them are accessible. There is not just sea water in the vast cavern, but also fresh water springs fed by underground rivers and divided by sandy beaches.
Because of the rays of sun that gently come inside the cave, the path between stalactites and stalagmites offers an incredible colorful perspective. This is another another reason why the Grotte del Bue Marino are a gem that should not be overlooked.
You should spend the night in Agripaules farmhouse, which is located near the Orosei Gulf. It's a haven of calm and relaxation nestled in a beautiful natural setting. Agricamping is available, as well as a variety of hiking trails. Agripaules stands up for its local and organic products in the shade of olive groves and mastic trees.
Do not miss the opportunity to learn about the magical world of Dorgali while visiting the Gulf of Orosei: history, archeology, manufacturing arts, and a 225 km2 natural heritage. Furthermore, the magnificent Cala Luna is about 3 kilometers from the Bue Marino Caves.
