Higher College of Technology

Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), founded in 1988, is the UAE's largest applied higher educational institution and the country's first approved university economic free zone, allowing it to graduate companies in accordance with the UAE's wise leadership's directives.

Around 23,000 students attend 16 campuses in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, the Al Dhafra region, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah. Female students account for 63 percent of the student body, reflecting the HCT's critical role in preparing Emirati females to effectively contribute to national development in the service of their country. Since 1991, the HCT has proudly awarded over 85,000 academic degrees to male and female graduates who have successfully applied the high-quality education they received while studying at the HCT.

The UAE's 50-year advancement towards an exciting future was realized in 2019 with the launch of the HCT 4.0 – Employability & Beyond strategic plan, which was based on the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.
