University of Technology and Applied Sciences-Nizwa
The University of Technology and Applied Sciences-Nizwa (UTAS-Nizwa) is located on the eastern outskirts of Nizwa, approximately 12 kilometers from the city center. Nizwa Technical and Industrial College was founded in 1993. Its facilities were originally designed as a vocational training center, and the same infrastructure is still in use today. In its first academic year, the college had 102 students, 22 academic staff, and 12 administrative staff. The implemented academic program lasted two years and was taught in Arabic. The college's first class of graduates graduated in 1995.
Various events and activities are held on a regular basis. Furthermore, each department has a student organization through which various projects and activities are planned to help you with your studies and make your time at UTAS-Nizwa more memorable.
