National University of Science and Technology

National University of Science and Technology (NUST) is an Omani private university founded in 2018 by the merger of two professional colleges, Caledonian College of Engineering and Oman Medical College (which offered degree programs in medicine and pharmacy). The university has graduated approximately 4300 international students from 33 countries. NUST has academic collaborations with three international universities: Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland, West Virginia University in the United States, and the University of South Carolina in the United States.

Academics:

• College of Engineering: There are approximately 4000 students from various nationalities, as well as 400 multinational academic, administrative, and support staff.
• College of Medicine and Health Sciences: The College of Medicine and Health Sciences is Oman's only private college. It was founded in 2001. Locals make up 70% of the college population, while international students make up 30%.
• College of Pharmacy: Oman Medical College began offering a Bachelor of Pharmacy program in 2003. This program paved the way for the establishment of NUST's College of Pharmacy in 2018.
