I Saw the Devil
I Saw the Devil is a South Korean action thriller film directed by Kim Jee-woon and written by Park Hoon-jung that was released in 2010. The film, which stars Lee Byung-hun and Choi Min-sik, follows NIS agent Kim Soo-hyun (Lee) on a quest for vengeance after his fiancée is brutally murdered by the psychopathic serial killer Jang Kyung-chul (Choi). I Saw the Devil premiered in the United States at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and had a limited theatrical release in the United States.
Lee Byung Hun, with his calm and cold demeanor, is an excellent choice for emotionally charged roles. With its terrifying scenes and Lee Byung Hun's top-notch charisma, I Saw the Devil can give viewers goosebumps. Lee Byung-hun plays Kim Soo-hyun, a National Intelligence Service agent. At St. Louis Film Critics Association Awards and Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association Awards, I Saw the Devil won Best Foreign Language Film.
