Squid Game
Squid Game is a South Korean survival drama television series created by Hwang Dong-hyuk for Netflix. The series revolves around a contest in which 456 players, all of whom are in dire financial need, risk their lives to play a series of lethal children's games in order to win a 45.6 billion prize. The series' title is based on a Korean children's game of the same name. Squid Game was released to critical acclaim and international attention on September 17, 2021. It is Netflix's most-watched series, having become the most-viewed program in 94 countries, attracting more than 142 million member households, and amassing 1.65 billion viewing hours in its first four weeks of release, surpassing Bridgerton for the title of the most-watched show.
Despite the fact that he only appears as a cameo, Lee Byung Hun's appearance manages to drive fans "crazy". The actor plays the Front Man, the game's overseer and the long-lost brother of cop Hwang In Ho (Wi Ha Joon). Although his face is only shown for a few minutes, Lee Byung Hun leaves viewers with a lot of impressions and questions. Several awards have also been bestowed upon the series, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor - Series, Miniseries, or Television Film and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance.
