Inks Lake
Inks Lake is a picturesque reservoir on the Colorado River fifty miles northwest of Austin. With its sparkling blue water, colorful rock outcrops, and striking sunsets, this gem of the Hill Country is just an hour northwest of Austin.
Inks Lake is particularly beautiful because of the pink rocks that stick out along the shore. It is surrounded by the rolling landscape of Texas Hill Country. The lake's southeast shore is covered by the large Inks Lake State Park. Campgrounds, hiking trails, and a visitor center are all available at the state park. Inks Lake is one of the greatest locations to camp in Texas because of its lakeside campsites. Swimming, skiing, and paddling are all common water activities. Canoes and kayaks are available for rent at the state park. With two fishing piers, a cleaning station, and a boat ramp, Inks Lake is a popular fishing spot.
