Lake Conroe

Lake Conroe is a 22,000-acre boating lake located about an hour's drive from Houston. It's a popular place to get away from the city for rest and relaxation, or an exciting adventure. Jet Skis, sailboats, and fishing rigs may all be found on Lake Conroe on any given day. The shoreline is also dotted with visitor attractions such as golf courses, lakeside restaurants, and full-service marinas.

The nearby city of Conroe is worth a weekend visit on its own. Conroe is developing a vibrant scene that includes live music, restaurants, and easy access to the outdoors. The northern end of Lake Conroe is surrounded by the Sam Houston National Forest, which offers various hiking trails for nature enthusiasts. The 129-mile Lone Star National Recreation Trail runs beside Lake Conroe's northern shore.
