Lake Texoma
Lake Texoma is located on the Red River between Oklahoma and Texas and is known simply as Texoma or Texomaland by locals. Lake Texoma's appeal is partly due to its sheer size as well as its proximity to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, which is about an hour's drive south of the lake.
Every year, millions of people go to Lake Texoma. Texoma has over 580 miles of shoreline, making it one of the largest reservoirs in the United States. Texoma Lake is one of Texas' top bass fishing lakes. Anglers are attracted to the area because of the large and self-sustaining population of bass. The lake has world-record-breaking bass. Smallmouth, spotted, and striped bass may all be found in plenty in Texoma. The Texoma shoreline has marinas, boat rentals, and chartered fishing trips in addition to various golf courses and hotels.
