International Spy Museum
The International Spy Museum is a private non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the art, history, and current function of espionage. It has the world's greatest public collection of international espionage artifacts. The museum was opened in 2002 in Washington, D.C.'s Penn Quarter area before moving to L'Enfant Plaza in 2019. Scholarly lectures, films, book signings, hands-on workshops, and group travel packages are among the educational and cultural offerings available to students, adults, and families. Admission to the museum is charged.
More than 7,000 objects are housed in the museum, with roughly 1,000 on public exhibit, as well as historical images, interactive displays, film, and video. From the Egyptian, Greek, and Roman empires to the Middle Ages, Renaissance, British Empire, American Revolutionary War, French Revolution, Napoleonic Wars, American Civil War, both World Wars, Cold War, and current espionage activities, the permanent collection recounts the whole history of espionage.
