James Thomas Fallon
James Thomas Fallon (born September 19, 1974) is an American comedian, television host, actor, and writer. He is most known for his work on Saturday Night Live and as the host of the late-night talk show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which he took over after Late Night with Jimmy Fallon ended. Fallon grew up with a love of humor and music and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 21 to pursue stand-up comedy. In 1998, he was cast as a member of Saturday Night Live, achieving a longstanding desire. Between 1998 and 2004, he co-hosted SNL's Weekend Update section for six years, becoming well-known in the process. He departed the show to feature in films including Taxi (2004) and Fever Pitch (2006). (2005).
Fallon returned to television in 2009 as the host of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on NBC, where he became noted for his emphasis on music and video games. In 2014, he left that show to become the sixth permanent host of the long-running Tonight Show. In addition to his television appearances, he has released two comedy CDs and seven novels, the majority of which are directed at youngsters.
