Kaya

With nearly 27 years under its belt and branches in every nook of town, Kaya has also grown to be a household name. In addition to the reliable barbecue set-up, Kaya serves many other Korean classics from grilled mackerel to goon mandoo (fried dumplings), kimchi fried rice, and of course kalbi jjim (beef stew). There's also Jin Jjambbong hot seafood ramen, soju in every flavor imaginable, and the distinctive Samangco. The spicy pork, shrimp tempura, and kim chee fried rice are also on the menu. The beef rib stew is great with rice, and the quantity is large enough to feed two people. Their Sam Kyup Sal consists of thin pork belly slices served on a sizzling plate.

When paired with a delicious, ice-cold watermelon shake, the eatery is a go-to when I'm not feeling adventurous with other places in Power Plant. For dessert, there's the standard Korean ice cream, the Melona, a fish sandwich with red bean and vanilla ice cream in the middle, and so on. The service is excellent. They are extremely attentive and welcoming.
