Killington
Killington is a town in central Vermont's Green Mountains. It is well-known for its downhill ski resorts, Killington and Pico Mountain. The Thundering Falls Trail, which leads to a cascading cascade, is one of the several hiking trails in the area. Both the long-distance Appalachian and Long trails run through town. Gifford Woods State Park, west of Killington, is home to old-growth hardwood trees such as sugar maples and beeches.
Killington is one of the greatest ski, hike, and golf attractions in the vicinity. The town is located in the Green Mountains and is home to both the Pico Mountain ski resort and the Killington ski resort, which is New England's largest ski area. Both resorts provide paths for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels, and these tracks are ideal for hiking and mountain biking in the summer.
When the snow melts, Killington changes into the home of two PGA golf courses, as well as beautiful hiking and bicycling paths along the Northern Appalachian Trail. The Green Mountain National Golf Course, the picturesque Thundering Falls, and the President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site are all nearby.
