Kolsai Lakes
The Kolsay Lakes, which are situated between the Raiymbek District and Talgar District of the Almaty Region, are frequently referred to as the "Pearls of Tien Shan '' and are the Kolsay Lakes National Park’s most notable feature. Within the park sits the lovely Lake Kaindy. Southeast of Almaty, 120 kilometers from the park's boundaries Approximately between 1887 and 1911, the Kaindy and Kolsay rivers produced landslide-tectonic lakes.
Because of its magnificent location along the Alatau mountain ranges, this trio of emerald-green alpine lakes is referred to as the "pearl of Tien Shan" or the "necklace." The Kolsai Lakes, which may reach a height of 2,700 meters above sea level, are 300 kilometers east of Almaty and are surrounded by a forest of spruce-fir trees and rocks. Although the lakes are open to visitors all year round, the spring and summer months are the ideal times to travel there. Lakes turn turquoise and forests turn green as Mother Nature emerges from winter.
There are rainbow trout, deer, mountain goats, and bears in the area surrounding the lakes, which is great for hiking and fishing.
