Lake Alakol

It is the biggest salt lake in the world and the largest lake in Central Asia. More than 32000 square kilometers of land are covered by the Lake. In the winter, Lake Alakol nearly freezes over. The water's annual average temperature is -3°C. Every year, the Lake freezes from November to February.
