Lake Chagan
In Kazakhstan's Almaty Province, next to the town of Chagan, at an elevation of 2,000 meters above sea level is a lake known as Lake Chagan (sometimes spelled Lake Chagan-Ili). The Lake is located at a maximum elevation of 6,300 feet and has an area of 2,000 m. The Lake is 2-3 times smaller in the area but is located at a higher elevation than Lake Balkhash and Lake Issyk-Kul.
