La Cueva del Esplendor
This unusual waterfall is hidden inside a cave and is situated in Jardin, a municipality in Antioquia around 140 kilometers from Medellin. There is a small waterfall created by a spherical hole that leads to the river above deep inside the cave. It takes an hour to ride a horse to the location, then it takes 20 minutes to hike to the falls. Swimming in the waterfall, caving, abseiling, visiting coffee farms, paragliding, and viewing endangered parrots and other wildlife are all possible in this region.
The most well-known attraction in Jardín is this magnificent cave, which is situated at 2200 meters above sea level in the midst of stunning landscapes. The only way to get to the cave is on foot over occasionally treacherous, narrow mountain routes. To minimize further harm to the cave, there is a daily restriction of 40 visitors at the entrance, which is about a three-hour hike from Jardn. Now that there is only one authorized guide for hiking tours, make reservations. The cascade starts roughly 70 meters above the entrance and descends in stages before emptying into a small lake at the cave's bottom, sending up clouds of mist. Although it's feasible, the water is extremely chilly.
