Salto de Bordones
This stunning waterfall in Hula, a little village close to San Agustin, is Colombia's tallest continuous waterfall. There is a vantage point across the valley with expansive views of the cascade and the surrounding mountains, but there is no way to go to the bottom of the mountain. This viewpoint can be accessed from a 10-kilometer dirt road that climbs the mountain. The waterfall is found in the Puracé National Park and originates from the Magdalena River. The Bordones waterfall, which is among the highest in South America and the highest in Colombia, rises around 400 meters above the ground. It is tucked away among the mountains of the Colombian Massif and creates lovely gorges along its course. and striking cliffs are located roughly 15 miles from the town of Isnos. Because some Caucan inhabitants used a staff to cross from one bank of the river to the other, giving help to walkers and hikers, the place got its name.
You can see the Salto de Bordones Waterfall from various vantage points, visit the lower, middle, and upper part, and get the best panoramic view of the impressive Bordones Canyon. One of the numerous wonders that the department of Huila has, all designed for us to enjoy and take care of ourselves, can be found when you get to the Salto de Bordones viewpoint. You can begin a descent through the ecological route if you wish to be nearer the waterfall. When you get to the bottom of the leap, your body starts to relax. You take a deep breath, close your eyes, and focus while enjoying every splash of water that falls on your face. The minutes slowly pass, and you start to rise.
