LA Pride Festival & Parade
From one of the nation's first Pride demonstrations at the Black Cat nightclub in Silver Lake in 1967 to the organization of the first-ever legal gay rights parade in 1970, Los Angeles has a long and rich history in the LGBTQ+ community. An annual LGBTQ Pride festival is held in Los Angeles, California, and is known as the LA Pride Festival & Parade or just LA Pride. The Christopher Street West Association organizes one of the largest LGBTQ Pride celebrations in the world, which is usually held on the second weekend in June.
With vibrant floats, joyful marchers, live performers, vintage automobiles, and much more, the annual LA Pride Parade procession returns to its Hollywood roots and routes in 2022. On June 12, 10:30 am, it will travel down Hollywood Boulevard and Cahuenga Boulevard before turning west to Highland Avenue, south to Sunset Boulevard, and lastly east to Cahuenga Boulevard.
