Lagoa das Sete Cidades
On the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores, there is a twin lake called Lagoa das Sete Cidades that is located in the crater of a dormant volcano. It consists of a bridge that spans a narrow strait that connects two tiny, ecologically distinct lakes. On the westernmost portion of the island of San Miguel, the volcano is situated. The Lagoa das Sete Cidades is the largest body of water in the area and one of the most significant freshwater resources in the archipelago. It is a part of a natural environment of communal interest.
The landscape views are just breathtaking, and they are best taken in when hiking to the main viewpoint, where you can see both the nearby lakes and the surrounding vegetation. Because it is only 10 kilometers away from Ponta Delgada, you may stay in the city and take advantage of everything it has to offer while still having time for a leisurely day excursion to the lake. You'll always regret missing it if you don't. The images and your own eyes will not deceive you; this location is unquestionably the highlight you require.
