Lagoa do Congro
At the conclusion of a short climb near Sao Miguel, Azores, you will find the tranquil Lagoa Do Congro (green lake). You may reach a tranquil huge lake after a short stroll along a slick but otherwise reasonable trail. You are surrounded by an infinite variety of greens, and giant catfish are swimming only inches from your feet. Overhead, there is pleasant bird chirping. On the island of San Miguel, this is a hidden gem. Despite not being on the conventional tourist trail, Lagoa do Congro offers a genuine connection to nature.
It is highly recommended that everyone see this lake. The fact that there aren't many things to do at Lagoa do Congro is a plus. If you only have a few hours to spend at So Miguel, it's an excellent option. You can drive there or go on a difficult hike, but both options demand some sweat and work. Each layer of Sao Miguel conceals a galaxy of untouched natural beauty. It is exceptional in its core, and the moment you set eyes on it for the first time, all of your trouble will seem to have been worthwhile.
If you prefer sunny days to cloudy ones, summer is the greatest time to visit because there are higher chances of having one. In June, hydrangeas also begin to bloom, lending blue hues to the otherwise green surroundings. In contrast to winter on the mainland, winter in the Azores is different. The variation in temperature between summer and winter is not particularly great, and temperatures are always in the positive.
